Curled up in a ball

Her body flew forward
Til her face hit the wall
Then fell to the ground
Curled up in a ball

Holding her nose
As it dripped crimson red
She stifled her cries
In attempt to play dead

With her eyes mostly shut
But just opened a slit
A towering shadow
On the wall dimly lit

The shadow's hands raised
With an object clutched tight
It came down on her head
With a powerful might

She didn't feel pain
She felt nothing at all
It was there that she died
Curled up in a ball
